OUR FACILITIES Our obedience trials and agility trials have been held on our property since we bought it from Doris Weisheit, a long-time club member, in the early 1990's. For many years, the members of Albany Obedience Club dreamed of having our own facility. At our July 14, 2000 meeting, the members unanimously voted to construct a 60' x 120' training facility on our 6 acre property. We started holding training classes in our building in January 2005. We offer Show and Go's monthly during the fall and winter, which are a great success. In May 2005 we held our first indoor obedience trials. Our Rally Trials and Agility Trials are held outdoors. Directions From the East and South: NYS Thruway to Exit 22. Turn left on Route 144, go about 2.7 miles to Wemple Road. Turn Left on Wemple Road. Site is about 1 mile on left. From the West: NYS Thruway to Exit 23. Turn right on Route 9W, go about 3.8 miles to Wemple Road (there is a traffic light). Turn left on Wemple Road. Site is about .8 mile on right. From the North: I -87 (Northway) South to Exit 7 East toward Troy. Take I-787 South toward Albany to the end. Take a right at the light onto Route 9W South. Go about 3.8 miles to Wemple Road (there is a traffic light). Turn left onto Wemple Road. Site is about .8 mile on right.
