Non-Member Registration Procedures – PLEASE READ

The next set of classes will start the week of January 8, 2012.  Non-member enrollment will be held Saturday, December 17, 2011 from 4:00 - 5:00 pm at Albany Obedience Club, 535 Wemple Road, Glenmont, NY.  (Directions are at the bottom of this page.)

To see the classes that are offered this session, click on the link at the to of this page.  The classes offered vary each session.

If you are interested in taking a class at Albany Obedience Club and you are not a member, you may still be eligible to enroll in a class.  There is a non-member registration night listed on the web site each time a new session of classes gets posted.  On this night you must attend with your dog for someone on our training committee to evaluate your dog to insure that you are registering for the proper class.  If you are registering with a puppy for the puppy class, you do not have to bring your dog.  For all other classes, beginner on up to the advanced levels, you need to bring your dog.

At the non-member registration you will fill out the form for the class (the form is available online if you wish to fill it out ahead) and you will need to pay for your class ($100.00 check made out to AOC), as well as have your dog evaluated.   We also need to see your dog’s vaccination records (distemper and rabies; we understand sometimes puppies do not have these shots yet and will allow the puppy instructor to verify that you have them before the start of the class).

Classes are posted for members first; therefore, many classes are filled before the non-member registration night.  Please check the Schedule of Classes before you drive to the club to register.

We are sorry if you are not able to make the non-member registration night.  Unfortunately, if you are unable to attend with your dog you will not be able to register for a class, even if you have titles and know a person in the club.  Sorry, it is the only way we can assure that the process is fair and that the dogs entering the classes are at the appropriate level.

Hopefully these guidelines help and you will find you are very glad you registered for a class at AOC.

If you have questions, contact our Registrar, Kelly Conn, at RegistrarAOC@gmail.com

Enrollment date is subject to change due to inclement weather.   Any changes to the enrollment date will be noted here.
