How to become a member of AOC

An individual must sign up for an 8 week course and attend a minimum of 6 out of 8 classes before submitting a membership application.  Once the membership application is completed and signed by two club members, the non-member mails it to the membership coordinator.  The application is then voted on by the AOC Board.  The Membership Coordinator then notifies the non-member of the Board approval and when the next membership meeting will be held, at which time the application will be voted on by the membership as a whole.  The non-member must attend the meeting in order for the vote to take place.  Because this process may take a couple of months to complete, the applicant is not considered a member until he/she attends the membership meeting when the applicant is voted in.  Applicants may take additional classes by paying $75 for any eight week session until he/she is voted in by the membership.
